Program Introduction (Brief):

Digital technology has changed TV and film - for the better.  It’s opened up all Millions of professionals rely on AutoCAD to create and share precise drawings. This course provides a comprehensive overview of AutoCAD functionality to get you started with computer-aided design. You learn how to navigate through an AutoCAD file, draw and edit objects such as lines, arcs, circles, and rectangles, become familiar with the concepts of layers and blocks, learn how to annotate drawings with text, dimensions, leaders, and hatching; and understand how to plot drawings using both model space and paper space

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Learn the workflows and basic skills required to navigate AutoCAD.
  • Use AutoCAD to design and draft in 2D.
  • Use AutoCAD to create, layer, edit, modify, annotate, dimension and prepare sheets for plotting.

New users from all disciplines interested in learning how to draft in AutoCAD - Industry professionals needing a fundamental knowledge of AutoCAD in order to adopt additional AutoCAD based products.

Admission requirements & Prerequisites:

No previous CAD experience is necessary. However, before attending this course, students should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and of basic design/drafting concepts, procedures, and terminology.

Program Approach & Duration:

The duration of this programme is 30 Hours.

The class is offered in a lecture/lab format. Course sessions may include demonstration, supervised hands-on projects and student presentations.
